What do you need when you arrive at my house or workplace?

• All we need is a standard UK 13amp socket…and your dog(s)! We are a self-contained unit carrying our own water and waste plumbing system.

  Our mobile salon is a medium wheelbase Peugeot Boxer van - approx dimensions 5.5m (l) x 2.5m (w). We require parking for this vehicle to be within 25m from a 13amp socket.  

  
  

What if my dog is heavily matted?

• We have a standard tariff of charges for dogs needing a usual amount of grooming to restore them to their best. However, if your dog is heavily matted we may need to discuss an addition to the standard charge to reflect the amount of extra time that we need to spend with your best friend.

I have a nervous dog, can I stay with them while they're being groomed?

• Yes! We want your dog to enjoy being pampered…and we want you to know that we have an open-door policy.

• Every dog reacts differently to being bathed and groomed. During the initial consultation, we will discuss with you the specific needs of your dog and tailor a care or grooming package to suit.
  
  

I usually have my dog Hand stripped. Is there a cheaper alternative?

• An alternative way of cutting your dog’s fur is to use dog clippers. However, employ this practice with great caution if you want to maintain a healthy double coat, as clipping will take it right back. In doing so it can remove all the coarse longer parts of the coat, and consequently, it may not fully grow back, so you are then left with a soft-coated dog. In addition, a knock-on effect of doing this is that the overall colour(s) of the coat can be affected.

How frequently should my dog be groomed?

• This very much depends on the growth rate of the coat but most breeds will need trimming at least every 6 weeks. The weather can affect a dog’s coat and you may find it grows quickly in the summer and may need more washing and tidying in the winter.

Can you groom more than one dog at a time?

• No. But we take appointments for more than one dog at one address and will groom one after the other. There are discounted rates for this service.
